Bio

Jeffrey Riley’s research, writing, and teaching have focused on theological and biblical ethics, historical theology and ethics, systematic theology, and the application of Christian ethics to current issues. He is most interested in how the church should live in the world, responding to moral issues as a people shaped by the Scriptures and theological and moral truth.

His recent research has focused on how Christians should understand human identity and dignity from conception to death, applying that understanding to current issues, such as abortion, aging, gender identity, racial and economic justice, and bioethical technology. He also researches and writes on the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit, spiritual theology, and the implications of missional, cross-cultural settings on Christian ethics and morality.

In his more than thirty years of ministry experience, he has served as pastor, interim pastor, supply preacher, conference speaker, and teacher in international settings; He is active through his church and with his wife in ministry to internationals attending a local university.

He and his wife, Laura, have two sons.
